Same old (new) place, same deal
I know I know I know.. long time no postWhat the heck am I doing?
It is call The United States Medical Licensing Exam Step One or USMLE
It is an 8 hour exam that proves my fitness to embark on my clinical rotations and ranks me with US grads. So I am 3 weeks into a 7 week prep course being held in a Dallas hotel. We are in lecture between 4 and 7 hours a day and I spend the rest of my time, you guessed it, holed up in my hotel room studying. I am taking a few hours off today to explore downtown Dallas, but class meets six days a week most weeks and days off are opportunities for review. I feel confident, not worried about failing but not so unconcerned about my ranking that I don't always think I should be studying just a little bit more. Shade is here to keep me company. My class ends February 23, and I sit the exam March 13. And then it will take 6 weeks to get the score.
